Well, that was fun and fast.
I whizzed through the three-chapter Part 4 in a few days. I even went back and added a thousand words to an earlier chapter so that everything is nicely set up for the big finale. All I have to do now is write it.
Part 4 (Ringwall) ended up at just over 8,000 words, giving me a grand total so far of slightly under 73,000 words. There's probably only 10,000 words to go.
The chapters in Part 4 turned out to be as follows:
Deportation
Explosion
Union
Now all that remains is Part 5 (Glaundon) and the short Postlude called Reverberation. I've planned out Part 5, and it too will have three chapters:
Misrepresentation
Conversation
Interception
That's about it. Only a brief check-in as the end approached. That's another draft cover above, inspired more by Part 2 this time. I'm still not happy with any cover yet, but only going to focus properly on it when I get by beta reader feedback.
Hopefully I'll be back in about a week once the first draft is complete.
