Triptych Final Draft Complete!

ree

Much to my surprise, the final draft of The Pantheon Triptych just whizzed by. I was planning to split my time between catching up with a few things around the house, and the redraft. However, for reasons (involving laziness), I spent the first couple of days just focusing on the book – and then couldn't stop.

I was expecting to find a few inconsistencies between the three threads of the story, given how much I reorganised Steffan's narrative, but it slotted together exactly how I wanted. There were minor wording tweaks and a few clarifications along the way, but nothing significant. I couldn't have been happier.

So it's done, coming in at a few words over 123,000. I've updated the website with this latest information, including the final preview of the opening chapters. All that's left is to publish it.

I've already completed most of the legwork on that. It's all uploaded and ready to go. I'm just waiting for the paperback proof copy to come through to ensure everything's fine. As usual, I'll publish it on Amazon alone for the first three months, and roll it out elsewhere once the minimum exclusive period is over.

With a bit of luck, it will be published at some point next week. Then I can finally start looking ahead again.

I'm still very early in the planning process for the novel set in the world of the Priory. There's a lomng way to go before I'll start adding any more words to the page, but I'll only be doing the planning in the background while I concentrate on real life for a bit.

I'll also be doing some research in preparation too. First on the list is reading the book The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, by Eckhart Tolle. Really not my thing – but it would be for one of my characters. It is a world where gods exist, after all. That's sure to have a philosophical impact.

But first... all the things I keep ignoring. Now where did I put those shelves?
